Our Holistic Support Service & Counselling
What is Our Holistic Support Service?
Our Holistic Support Service is something new and fresh we are able to offer parent carers of Sunderland and surrounding areas.
This service focuses as an entirely solution focused model of support for individuals who have received a diagnosis or on the pathway of receiving a diagnosis for their child. We do not hold any specific criteria, and aim to support those families who would possibly not know where to start in seeking support.
We offer our services in a holistic way, meaning we try to encompass all things we possibly can into our sessions together.
Our service is currently offered as a opt out service with Sunderland Royal Hospital working in partnership to break the stigma of asking for support and acknowledging support is needed even without request.
Within our sessions together you will get:
-
Allocated a wellbeing practitioner who will be your point of support
-
Opportunity to specify how often and how long we see one another
-
Be offered mental health support while navigating the new "SEND" world
-
Signposted to other services, playgroups, support hubs, and opportunities
-
Offered appointments with a financial advisor to ensure correct benefits are being claimed
-
Access to different agencies we work with by direct referral
-
Be able to set realistic achievable goals for yourself
