Created by Choice Wellbeing Service, this self-paced course is designed for practitioners working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families. Through real-life scenarios, reflective exercises and interactive activities, you'll explore the experiences that can shape a family's relationship with services and consider how your own communication can make a meaningful difference. Throughout this course, you'll explore: - Understanding the SEND family journey. - Recognising the experiences behind behaviour. - Building and rebuilding trust. - Communicating with empathy, honesty and respect. - Managing difficult conversations. - Working collaboratively with parent carers. Learn at Your Own Pace There's no expectation to complete this course in one sitting. Take breaks, revisit sections and work through the activities at a pace that suits you.
