As parent carers at Choice Wellbeing Service, we know the feeling of being overwhelmed after a child's diagnosis.

We often asked ourselves, 'What would have truly helped us then, and what do we need now?' The answer was clear: a straightforward guide to Sunderland's support organizations. That's how the Rainbow Guide© was born in 2023. We wanted to create something easy to understand, that tells you exactly what each organization offers—and, crucially, what they don't. This guide is a labor of love, Due to its overwhelming success and the clear need in neighbouring areas, we're thrilled to announce that we've now expanded the Rainbow Guide to include Durham, South Tyneside and soon Gateshead!!

These guides are living documents, constantly expanding and updated with new information and partners, Every page was written and developed by the service or organisation themselves. These Guides are the jewel in Choice's Crown and within a few years we are hoping they will be nationwide.
